Linda Wiley owns a franchised commercial cleaning service. She bought a Quantum Disk to save money related to the costs of detergent. The only purpose of using soap for cleaning fabrics in a washing machine is to lower the surface tension (wetting ability) of the water so the liquid can penetrate the fabric and remove the dirt and other unwanted particles. The Quantum Disk also lowers the surface tension of liquids.
As an experiment Linda washed one laundry load with one (1) teaspoon of detergent and the unit was not placed on the wash machine. The normal amount of soap she would pour into the wash machine was a cup and a half. She then washed one laundry load with one (1) teaspoon of detergent (no bleach) and the Quantum Disk was placed on the wash machine during all cycles. Linda also washed a load of similar items with a cup and a half of soap and half cup bleach.
Linda repeated
this experiment five (5) times. She concluded that the laundry washed
by the one teaspoon of detergent and not treated by the Quantum
Disk
was NOT as clean as laundry washed with the normal cup and a half of soap.
However, Linda concluded the laundry washed by the one teaspoon of detergent
and also treated by the Quantum
DiskWAS
as clean as laundry washed with the normal
cup and half of soap and half cup bleach. Linda estimates the Quantum
Disk will
save her at least $2,000 per year
in detergent
costs.
